Extra-Inning Win by Thunder Over Polar Bears
The St. Petersburg Thunder faced a tough opponent in Billings pitcher Yakamochi Hirano, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Igloo by a final score of 7-3 in 10 innings. Hirano went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win gives St. Petersburg a record of 5-4.

St. Petersburg used the timely hitting of Spencer Jeffries to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Thunder on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It took some blood and sweat, but we got what we were after," said Thunder manager Alejandro Mingo.
