Hops Earn 6-4 Win Against Turbeaus
The Yakima Hops picked up a win at Mobile Home Park, knocking off the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 6-4. Starting pitcher Archie Locke was a big reason why. Yakima reliever Rob Dougherty picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Mario Noceda was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Gulf Coast 2-7.

Yakima relied on the bat of Ramón Domínguez to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hops ahead, 6-4. For the game, Domínguez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I had a good game plan," said Locke. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Gerald Clark said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
