The St. Petersburg Thunder beat the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 10-7, at Baby Thunder Dome. Billy García, in particular, was impressive. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Keith Greene picked up the save, his 3rd. The loss puts Gwinnett at 4-6.

Spencer Jeffries hit a 2-run home run off Sean Long in the bottom of the second, which put the Thunder ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Jeffries had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
