Pilgrims Score Late to Beat Fighting Imps, 11-10
Mike Fowler was the difference-maker for the Providence Pilgrims in what turned into a shootout with the Ithaca Fighting Imps. Fowler went 3-for-5 in the extra-inning, 11-10 Pilgrims win. Chris McElroy earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. The win gives Providence a record of 5-5.

Fowler delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the 11th to win it for Providence. In the contest, Fowler was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Fowler. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
