Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Minnesota Loons and Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas.

Minnesota Loons starter António Vélez pitched his team past the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 4-2. Kun Yi closed the door for Minnesota, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

José Vázquez had a direct impact on the outcome. Vázquez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Minnesota up, 2-1.

"Bottom line," said Chesapeake skipper John Moore, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The win brings the Loons to 4-7, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
