Highlanders Handed 6-5 Loss by Casper
|
Casper starter William Maxwell pitched well against the Asheville Highlanders at The Graveyard. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-5. Wesley Edwards closed it out for his 1st save. Asheville is now 5-7.
Tied up with the Highlanders in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Ghosts got a boost from first baseman Juan Vega. With the bases loaded, Vega saw a 2-0 fastball from Edward Lamb and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Casper on top, 3-2.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Vega told the Casper News.
