Bulls Clip Godfathers, 7-6

Crowds lined up early in front of Belleville Field, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2062 M3L Single A season. On the mound was Dan Caine for the visiting Pontiac Godfathers and Peyton Larson for the hometown Belleville Bulls. In a spirited contest, the Bulls pulled out the win, defeating the Godfathers by the score of 7-6. Especially impressive was Su-chang Yi. Belleville reliever Scot Dixon picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Félix Santana absorbed the loss.
Carlos Carter was the walk-off hero for Belleville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulls center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We ground out the win," said Carter. "That's all that matters."
