Squirrel Hill Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis and the Toledo Saboteurs played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Pierogis won it, 15-12, in 10 innings. In the game, Squirrel Hill catcher Anthony Martin was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The loss drops Toledo to 5-8.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Gonzalo Valéncia in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a 3-run home run off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Júlio Medina to win it for Squirrel Hill and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This joint was rocking," said Valéncia.
