Cangrejos Fantasmas Lose By a Run at Arizona
|
The Arizona Javelina took Chesapeake pitcher Martín Orozco's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Javelina Ballpark. The final score had Arizona getting past the Cangrejos Fantasmas, 3-2. Orozco went 5 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 1. Jim Carter earned the save for Arizona. Chesapeake drops to 7-6.
Calvin Kirk broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Javelina in front, 3-2. For the game, Kirk went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager John Moore.
