Boston had no answer for fan favorite Alex Thompson. The New Orleans Voodoo starter stymied Patriots hitters, helping the Voodoo cruise to victory, 8-1. With the win, New Orleans upped its record to 47-34.

Alex Thompson was masterful. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings.

"Alex was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
