The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Petersburg Thunder and Minnesota Loons get after it.

Esteban Colón was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the St. Petersburg Thunder. The first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 for the Minnesota Loons. Ryan McDaniel notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. Kun Yi closed it out for Minnesota, earning his 4th save.

Joe Parker drove in one run for Minnesota. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Parker, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in stolen bases with 1, had a clutch at-bat. Facing St. Petersburg hurler Lan-quing Xin, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Loons a 4-3 lead.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Minnesota manager Calvin Beck. "It's usually not just one thing."
