The Asheville Highlanders picked up a win at Asheville Park, topping the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 4-1. On the mound for Asheville was right-hander Lúcio Patino. He played a principal role in the triumph. Adam Vinck finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Highlanders raised their record to 9-5.

Tom Rich chipped in for Asheville, stroking a crucial run-scoring triple in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Rich. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
