Cangrejos Fantasmas Make It 5 In a Row with 9-3 Triumph Over Gulf Coast
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas and Gulf Coast Turbeaus.

The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas topped the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 9-3, with right fielder Gilbert Guy playing a big role. Guy was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Cangrejos Fantasmas in the win. Carlos Valtierra snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 6 hits over 3.2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. Daniel Henry picked up the save for Chesapeake, his 1st of the year.

Chesapeake used the hitting of Nicky Chamings to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cangrejos Fantasmas on top, 7-2. For the game, Chamings had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Chesapeake manager Jorge Baca.

For the Turbeaus, the loss makes them 5-9.
