The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at Atlantica, dropping the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 4-2. Roy Huntingford, who is tied for 10th in the PL with a 7.6 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Mark Sims earned save number 15 this season. The Shredders now have a record of 37-44 with the win over Northern Virginia.

Hollywood used the clutch hitting of Luis Tañón to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Shredders the lead, 4-2. For the game, Tañón had 1 single and 2 doubles in 3 at-bats.
