Thunder Suffer 7-2 Loss to Pierogis
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis beat the St. Petersburg Thunder, 7-2, at Field of the Rawhides. Squirrel Hill third baseman Stu Kennedy had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was John Pope. He's now 2-2. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Pierogis. With the win, Squirrel Hill climbs to 7-8.

In the bottom of the fifth, Jorge Vallejo delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 1st, the Squirrel Hill designated hitter hit a 2-run home run, putting the Pierogis in front, 7-2.
