Gulf Coast center fielder Larry Rothrock contributed significantly to his team's 6-3 win over the Asheville Highlanders. Rothrock, who is tied for 2nd in the SAA in home runs with 5, went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Turbeaus. Kenny Flint got the save, the 4th for him this season. The win leaves Gulf Coast with a record of 8-7.

Gulf Coast needed the clutch hitting of Edward Roberson to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Turbeaus on top, 4-2. For the game, Roberson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Rothrock.
