Another day, another victory for the red-hot St. Petersburg Thunder.

The St. Petersburg Thunder powered past the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 9-6, at Heron Field. Billy García went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3, to lead the charge. Picking up his 2nd save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Cust.

In the top of the fourth, St. Petersburg third baseman Santiago Rodríguez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Rodríguez stroked a run-scoring single to right-center. It made the score 1-0, St. Petersburg. For the game, he was 2-5 with 2 singles.

"We are some kind of hot right now," said Rodríguez.

The loss puts Lake Murray at 4-11.
