Brown Helps Providence Cruise to 11-3 Win
Thanks in large part to third baseman Logan Brown, the Providence Pilgrims beat the Casper Ghosts, 11-3. Brown was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. Providence starter Robert Shafer was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 8.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-3. The Ghosts, now 9-7, have been consistent this season. Consistently bad.

With Providence leading 3-0 in the top of the fifth, Brown hit a fastball from Joe Sheffield for a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Pilgrims ahead, 6-0.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Casper manager Caetano Alfena.
