Edgardo Castro had a 4-RBI game, during Niagara Falls's 6-3 triumph over the Washington Generals. Castro contributed 1 single and 1 home run to the cause. José Machado, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The loss puts Washington at 0-2.
Castro had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Mike Mayfield, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Expos a 6-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Castro.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Castro said.
