Thunder Use Late Score to Top Fighting Imps, 8-7
The St. Petersburg Thunder got a hard-earned win over the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 8-7, in 11 innings. Jarrod Harris provided some offensive muscle for St. Petersburg. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. St. Petersburg, at 12-4, is off to a blistering start.

The Thunder got a clutch hit from left fielder James Payton. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Thunder.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Harris said.
