The Caldwell Chiefs had to overcome a good performance from Idaho Falls pitcher Allan Novillo to claim a 3-2 win at Idaho Falls Park. Novillo went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win puts Caldwell at 1-1.
In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Idaho Falls allowed the Chiefs to go up, 3-2, on a Idaho Falls error.
After the game, Caldwell manager Jorge Agramunt applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
