Bennett Pops Two Homers in 12-4 Win for Providence
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Providence Pilgrims and Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas.

The Providence Pilgrims defeated the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 12-4, at Ghost Crab Park. Providence second baseman Grant Bennett had a superb performance. He was 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Providence starter Tom Boswell was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0.

Jesse Kelley cracked a home run off Martín Orozco in the top of the first. His solo blast put the Pilgrims on top, 1-0. In all, Kelley had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

Providence manager Arturo Rochel was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.

With the loss, Chesapeake falls to 11-7.
