Starting pitcher Morie Wada gave the Hollywood Shredders a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Seattle Rocketeers, 2-0, at The Hollywood Bowl. Shi-min Sun earned the save for Hollywood, his 1st of the year. The 9th-place Shredders have won 4 straight.

Stanley Johnston cracked a home run off Jason Cox in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run blast put the Shredders on top, 2-0. In all, Johnston had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
