Blues Win with Late Rally
|
The Barton Springs Blues earned a close win over the Toledo Saboteurs, thanks in part to Francisco Aguilar. The Barton Springs right-hander, the 11th overall pick in the 2061 draft, played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. Tom Butler collected save number 3. The Blues, with just their 7th win so far in 2061, have yet to catch fire.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Teuvo Vihermaa hit a 2-1 fastball from Adam Smith for a run-scoring single. It put Barton Springs in front, 2-1.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Aguilar.
