Buffalo Defeated By Lighthouse, 5-1
|
The Long Island Lighthouse got a stellar effort from pitcher Luke Riley, helping Long Island score a win over the visiting Buffalo White Walkers, 5-1. The Lighthouse sport a record of 32-50.
Jesús Serrano had a big 2-run triple for the Lighthouse in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Long Island leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from former first round draft pick Dave Lewis and swatted a triple to right. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lighthouse ahead, 4-1.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
