Barton Springs Blues starter Tony Icaza pitched his team past the Toledo Saboteurs, 5-2, in 10 innings. The Blues saw their record improve to 8-13.

Clifton Brooks had the most critical at-bat for Barton Springs. With no one in the top of the tenth inning, Brooks hit a 2-1 fastball from Peter Brenchley for a run-scoring single. It put Barton Springs in front, 2-1.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Icaza. "Successful pitchers do it."
