Polar Bears Earn 4-2 Road Win Over Lake Murray
|
Billings turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jorge Pares into a 4-2 triumph over the Lake Murray MotorBoaters at Heron Field. Pares yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-3. The setback makes Lake Murray 11-10.
Billings used the bat of Greg Reese to get the win. The left fielder spanked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
Billings manager Justin Broadfoot praised his team's "businesslike approach."
