In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Toledo registered a win at Toledo Backyard Park by beating the Minnesota Loons, 7-3. Pitcher Lonnie Burton was one reason why the Saboteurs triumphed. Burton got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs.
Javier Icaza, who is tied for 2nd in the SAA in bases on balls with 17, came through for Toledo with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 4 RBI.
"Lonnie can overpower you," said Toledo manager Rodney Dudley.
Toledo now sits at 8-14, while Minnesota falls to 9-13.
