Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for White Walkers
|
The Buffalo White Walkers topped the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 4-3, in United States Premier League action at Beyond the Wall. The standout performance belonged to Buffalo pitcher and Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, native David O'Farrell. Buffalo reliever Arsen Campbell picked up the win to move to 2-0. Harry Richter suffered the loss. After losing, Vancouver is 4-5.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, designated hitter Oasiz Wiesblatt won it for Buffalo. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Wiesblatt hit a 2-1 fastball from Harry Richter for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.
"I was a little disappointed," said Vancouver manager David Krause. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
