Northville Eclipse starter Mannus Klapwijk kept the Asheville Highlanders hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. Kicham Sassi recorded the save for Northville, his 1st of the season. Northville has 3 straight wins, Asheville 3 straight losses.

The Highlanders had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Eclipse going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old right fielder Keith Day came to the plate. Day hit a solo home run on a 1-1 fastball from Asheville hurler Niek Proeme. It was Day's 3rd home run of the year.

Day attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
