Rainbow Mermaids Handed 6-2 Loss
|
Toronto Thunder starter Brandon Fox was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-2. Picking up the save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Ron Murphy. The win gives Toronto a season record of 45-38.
John Matthews was 1 for 3 with 2 walks against the Rainbow Mermaids. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Toronto in front, 2-1.
"I liked his command," said Toronto manager Jordan Smith. "Brandon was throwing strikes."
