Gwinnett Guinea Pigs starter Randy Pierce hurled his team past the Barton Springs Blues, 4-0. Pierce yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. Bryan Rivers helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Gwinnett a 2-0 lead.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Pierce.

The win elevated the Guinea Pigs to 12-12.
