The Ithaca Fighting Imps defeated the Barton Springs Blues, 11-7, at Blues Field. Leading the charge for Ithaca was center fielder Jerry Jaramillo. He was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Ithaca pitcher Allen Wagner got the win, upping his record to 5-0. Ed Hull got the loss. The 4th-place Fighting Imps lifted their record to 14-10.

Phil Jackson was vital to the Ithaca win. He went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the second with two out, Jackson hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Fighting Imps.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Jackson told the Ithaca News.
