Turbeaus Find a Way to Win
The 10-9 Gulf Coast win over St. Petersburg was due in large part to Gui-fan Leong. The Turbeaus first baseman went 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times. Dustin Torres picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Mike Parkinson suffered the loss. Gulf Coast has 3 straight wins, St. Petersburg 3 straight losses.

With the game tied in the bottom of the 12th, Leong delivered for Gulf Coast. That's when he hit a run-scoring single off Mike Parkinson to win the game.
