The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas picked up a win at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, topping the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 6-3. On the mound for Chesapeake was right-hander Akil bin Abbud. He played a principal role in the triumph. bin Abbud yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 3-2. The Thunder Hawks, now 10-15, have lost 4 in a row.
Chesapeake catcher Rich Flores contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a slider to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 5th hit of the season and put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 4-0.
