Soto, Northville Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a tight game between the Northville Eclipse and the Asheville Highlanders, pitcher Pedro Soto was terrific on the mound. The Northville right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. The second-place Eclipse improved to 16-10.
Soto earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Northville. The native of Higüey, Dominican Republic, allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 7. Asheville hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Soto.
