Allen Wagner pitched well, but the Ithaca Fighting Imps still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo. Billings starter Yakamochi Hirano was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Carlos Ramos earned the save for Billings.

The Polar Bears got a big hit from second baseman Elías Carnascialli. Facing Ithaca pitcher Allen Wagner in the bottom of the fifth, Carnascialli pounded a solo home run to right. His 4th home run of the season put the Polar Bears ahead, 3-1.

"Tough loss," said Ithaca manager Jeffrey Lewis. "But we'll rebound from it."

The first-place Polar Bears lifted their record to 20-9.
