Yi Hits 2 home runs in Saboteurs Win
|
Toledo designated hitter Su-chang Yi helped his team beat the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 6-3. Yi, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in total bases with 58, went 2 for 4 for the Saboteurs. The winning pitcher was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Stewart. He tossed 106 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The save was credited to Jesse Yates, his 1st.
Toledo took a 4-3 lead on Yi's 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Pete Johnson in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Toledo to the win.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Yi told the Toledo Chronicle.
The setback makes Lake Murray 14-15.
