In a low-scoring contest between the Asheville Highlanders and the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ray Campbell proved to be the difference. The Asheville right-hander earned props for his performance in the 1-0 Highlanders win. Campbell, now 2-2, was the winner.
