|
Gilberto Cruz never let Toledo get something going. The Buffalo right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the White Walkers to a 4-1 win. The winner was Cruz. He threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Al Moore. Armando Trujillo picked up the save for Buffalo, his 4th of the year.
Iverson Allen, who is tied for 6th in the PL in stolen bases with 19, had a direct impact on the outcome. Allen contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-1.
