Miners Get Clutch Win Versus Asheville
|
With John Myers Myers leading the charge, the Marquette Miners defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3. Myers Myers went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Miners. Marquette is now 18-14, Asheville 20-12.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Myers Myers hit a fastball from Rick Behan for a run-scoring single. The Miners, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
