Toronto Wins, Benas slugs 2 home runs

Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Toronto Thunder and Toledo Stingers.
The Toronto Thunder beat the Toledo Stingers, 7-3, at Thunder Field. Toronto second baseman Fuzzy Benas led the way. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Brandon Fox picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 5-6.
With Toronto leading 5-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Benas hit a cutter from Thaddeus Alambra for a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 7-3.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Benas told the Toronto Daily.
The Thunder saw their record improve to 49-35.
