The Toledo Saboteurs scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Squirrel Hill Pierogis at Toledo Backyard Park. Toledo pitcher Brandon Mitchell held his own in the contest. With the victory, the Saboteurs record stands at 16-18.

Thomas Sharp took Squirrel Hill hurler Joe Hudson deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Saboteurs on top, 2-1. In all, Sharp had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.

"Brandon did a good job of managing their lineup," said Toledo manager Rodney Dudley.
