Turbeaus Trip Thunder, 2-1, in Extra Innings
|
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus faced a tough opponent in St. Petersburg pitcher Jeremy Harris, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mobile Home Park by a final score of 2-1 in 10 innings. Harris went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Gulf Coast pitcher Kenny Flint got the win. He's now 1-2. Keith Greene was tagged with the loss. The 6th-place Turbeaus are now 17-18, the Thunder 16-19.
The Turbeaus got a clutch hit from shortstop Tom Evans. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Turbeaus.
"That last inning was electric," Evans said.
