Ithaca right-hander Gary Aldridge pitched his team to victory over the Lake Murray MotorBoaters at Imps Park. The final score was 5-1. The win for the Fighting Imps raised their record to 19-18.

The MotorBoaters had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fighting Imps going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Nicephorus Yeremian came to the plate. Yeremian hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 cutter from Lake Murray hurler Jimmy Cooper. It was Yeremian's 11th double of the year.

"Gary pounded the zone relentlessly tonight," said Ithaca manager Jeffrey Lewis.
