In a low-scoring contest, Asheville pitcher Nick Young was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 1-0 win. The slumping Javelina have lost 7 straight.

Early in the game, catcher Len Craft had a solo home run for Asheville. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Highlanders on top, 1-0.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Dino Moonglampers, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
