Patriots Make It 8 In a Row with 6-2 Triumph Over Mexico City

The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Condor Nest, downing the Mexico City Blue Demons, 6-2. On the mound for Boston was left-hander Byron Cramphorn, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Cramphorn, now 7-7. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Boston is now 51-33, 4½ games up in the Premier League.
Boston used the hitting of Tyrone Higgins to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Patriots on top, 4-2. For the game, Higgins had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Boston manager Brian Fahie.
