Blues Lose By a Run at Lake Murray
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Lake Murray MotorBoaters and Barton Springs Blues.
Barton Springs got a valiant performance from pitcher Francisco Aguilar, but it wasn't enough to beat the Lake Murray MotorBoaters. Lake Murray won the game, 2-1. Aguilar threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win makes Lake Murray 19-21.
With scoring opportunities rare, the MotorBoaters had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when catcher Mike Barr hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Francisco Aguilar and made the score 2-1, MotorBoaters. Barr went 1-3.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Lake Murray manager David Buchanan.
