Pierogis Rally Late to Nip Turbeaus

Gulf Coast got a big-time effort from pitcher Vincente Ramos, but it wasn't enough to keep the Squirrel Hill Pierogis from winning the game, 3-2. Ramos threw 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Squirrel Hill reliever Otis Farr was the winner. His record is now 5-3. Kenny Flint took the loss. The Pierogis are now 24-16, while the Turbeaus fall to 21-19.
Squirrel Hill got a knockout punch from Tomás Orro. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Orro attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
