MotorBoaters Knock Off Blues, 3-1

Rory Taylor pitched a gem to lead Lake Murray to victory over the Barton Springs Blues, 3-1. The winner was Taylor. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Tony Icaza. Max Burse nailed down his 7th save.
The Blues had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the MotorBoaters going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Ryan Hudson came to the plate. Hudson hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 fastball from Barton Springs hurler Tony Icaza. It was Hudson's 7th home run of the year.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Taylor.
Lake Murray, now 20-21, holds down 6th place in the Silver AA.
