Boston second baseman Dave Powell was instrumental in helping the Patriots triumph, 10-6, over the Toronto Thunder. Powell went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Vic Byrd, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 4 innings. The Patriots lead the Premier League by 4½ games.
