Guinea Pigs Beat Pierogis, 3-1, at Field of the Rawhides
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, behind a great outing from Cody Beasley, who is tied for 8th in the SAA with a 8.5 K/9 rate, defeated the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 3-1, at Field of the Rawhides. The winning pitcher was Beasley, now 5-3. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. The Guinea Pigs raised their record to 27-18.

Gwinnett used a clutch at-bat from Robby Stevens to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Guinea Pigs ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Stevens attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
