Rasmussen Leads Barton Springs to 4-1 Win
|
The Barton Springs Blues topped the St. Petersburg Thunder, 4-1, in USSL Double A action at Blues Field. The standout performance belonged to Barton Springs pitcher and Brandon, South Dakota, native Jonathan Rasmussen. Tom Butler earned the save for Barton Springs, his 7th. Barton Springs bumps their record to 19-27 with the win.
Rasmussen was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 3-1. In 8 innings of work, Rasmussen gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 6. The Thunder were never able to generate much offense.
"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Rasmussen. "It sure beats the alternative."
